Kids can have so much fun making this. Unlike many other desserts and cakes, this method is NOT SENSITIVE in any way!
No butter, eggs, milk and flour required.

Umami is described as 'a pleasant savory flavor' and one of the five basic tastes along with better known sweet, salty, bitter and sour.
In this recipe, I would really hope that you discover and enjoy umami. Kombu (or Konbu) shows up as the most umami packed food and mackerel is not far from it.

It is so easy to make, tastes great and leaves no guilt as you know how much fruits are in but not much sugar. I topped the ice cream with chopped dried fruits (left) and with some pieces of walnut meringue (right.)
