Konjac ticks many healthy eating boxes such as being fat-free, low-carb, low GI (Glycemic index), high-fibre and gluten-free. The fibre from a Konjac root, known as the glucomannan, has medicinal properties. These include the ability to inhibit the absorption of cholesterol and glucose within the gastrointestinal system. Konjac is for anyone of any age and is particularly suitable for vegans, weight watchers, sports people, people with diabetes or gluten intolerance.
Our dried Konjac rice is versatile; it can simply replace rice or a portion of it. It is also ideal for fried rice, paella, rice salad or meatball stuffing as it absorbs flavours very well.
To prepare, boil the dried Konjac rice in water for 10 minutes. Alternatively, it can be precooked in a microwave. Precooking is not necessary as an ingredient for soup, risotto or paella.

Store in a cool dry place. Recommended to be consumed with plenty of water.
