Dried Konjac Noodles
One package contains 4 ×25g nest of dried konjac noodles
Net weight 100g, Prepared weight 240g
Known as Shirataki in Japan, this type of konjac noodle has been enjoyed in many traditional Japanese and Chinese dishes such as Sukiyaki, Syabu-syabu and Lianbang Fensi. It has been reintroduced as a healthy alternative to pasta or wheat noodles.
Konjac ticks many healthy eating boxes such as fat-free, low-carb, low GI, high-fibre and gluten-free. The fibre from konjac root, known as the glucomannan, has medicinal properties. These include the ability to inhibit the absorption of cholesterol and glucose within the gastrointestinal system. Konjac is for everyone of any age and is particularly suitable for vegans, weight watchers, sports people, diabetes or gluten intolerant patients.
To prepare, soak the nests in boiled water for 5 minutes and rinse well. No boiling required.
